Koko in the snow
We we are tasked with finding a fixing grammatical issues and finding a suitable font for the Koko in the snow book.
After fixing the grammatical issues in the text I started to look for a good font to go with the art style.
I shortened it to four fonts and looked at how each one looked with the art style of the book, I picked chunky felt.
Because it fitted the soft and round design of the book, it also looked very child friendly and was very easy to read.
I then started to fill out the pages with the text and added the font to them and also picked a suitable colour for each page.
I had to be careful with the position and size of the text because since this was going to be a book it would be split in two and I didn't want the text get cut off or be completely unreadable.
After that was done I had to make a front cover for the book.
I didn't want to over complicate things so I grabbed the very first image and modified it.
I added the name of the book and the authors name at the bottom, I then added the main character Koko after cutting out her body in photoshop and turning her into a TIFF file, I then resized her and added some snow to her feet I made using the pen tool, I did it in order to make it look smooth and natural and so that it looked like she was standing on some ground instead of floating.
