Layout design


We were tasked with designing a semetrical grid and this will show you how to do it yourself.





First you make a A4 page and then you add another one using the  Art-board tool.
After that you use the line tool and ad the lines as shown in the image.







After that you use the ruler tool and make lines and make use of the 33 times table to make sure all the lines are where they are meant to be, after thats done you use the rectangle tool and put the rectangles at the points where the ruler lines and the line tools line connect.
After that you will have something likes this as shown in the image.

Unit 51 page layout






I started by increasing the size of the characters.
 To increase the size of the type use the control bar at the top of the page where it says 12pt.


  I then hanged the Typeface  to one that has serifs (Baskerville).





























I then added columns going from two to three.
To do this you: Go to Type > Area Type Options from there you can add how many columns you want.
In here i changed the paragraph style and the text to just show you that even the style of the characters can make a difference in size.
